GSGP Delegation Meets with Regional Fish Experts in Iceland

From September 16-21, 2024, GSGP led a twelve-person delegation of regional fish experts to Iceland to learn about Iceland’s cutting-edge fish industry and meet with leaders from Icelandic organizations that are successfully involved with 100% fish strategies:

The group also participated in the Fish Waste for Profit—The 100% Fish Conference and met with people and organizations working on 100% fish from around the world.  The group included staff representing GSGP, Tribes, Great Lakes fish companies, State and Provincial resource managers, the Great Lakes Fishery Commission, and academia. The group will be applying what it learned and building on its new Icelandic and global connections in coming months toward the goal of 100% utilization of each fish from the Great Lakes region.
