Chair's Letter

I would like to welcome Indiana Governor Mike Braun who was inaugurated on January 13. He joins GSGP’s Board of Directors, and we look forward to working with him. Thanks to former Governor Eric Holcomb for his service and his work with us.

Our region’s Governors and Premiers are united for growth. We continue to work together to grow our economy and protect our environment.

For example, we are working with a coalition of regional foundations to future-proof the Great Lakes Compact and companion Agreement. These accords are critical to protecting the Great Lakes for the ongoing use and benefit of the region.

GSGP continues to support the expansion of small businesses in our region. GSGP recently held a successful trade mission to Spain, Portugal, and Morocco including six companies from our region looking to expand their exports to these growing markets. 

In recent months, GSGP has aggressively expanded its communications and network. More than 4,000 people now receive this newsletter; over 3,000 people now follow GSGP on social media; over 1,000 people now receive bimonthly updates on GSGP’s various projects; and, in 2024, GSGP’s work was featured in about 125 media pieces. 

All of this helps us engage with you so that we can more effectively work toward our shared goals. Thank you for your partnership.
