Hotel, Travel, Transportation, and Attire

The Conference of Great Lakes St. Lawrence Governors & Premiers (Conference) will be holding its invitation-only Leadership Summit from Friday, October 13–Sunday, October 15, in Cleveland, Ohio.

The Summit program will take place at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Cleveland:

All hotel rooms at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Cleveland are available on a first come-first served basis, and all costs will be the responsibility of the attendee(s).  Please call 216/696-5600 and ask for reservations, and reference "Leadership Summit" when making your reservation to get the group rate.  Reservations may also be made through this link.

Attire

Typical temperatures for Cleveland during this time of year are from the upper 50s to the mid- 70s (14-24 Celsius).  Throughout the Summit, attendees should be dressed in business attire.  However, attendees should wear casual attire for the October 13 reception and dinner at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, the October 14 dinner and reception at the Music Box Supper Club, and the October 15 Cleveland Field Trip.

Transportation to Cleveland

Group Transportation

The October 13 welcome reception and dinner for all participants will be held at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.  Bus transportation will be available for all attendees to and from the Renaissance Hotel.

The October 14 reception and dinner will be held at the Music Box Supper Club.  Bus transportation will be available for all attendees to and from the Renaissance Hotel.

On October 15, there will be a Cleveland Field Trip open to all attendees.

The public version of the Summit agenda is available.  Updates will be provided to each Governor’s and Premier’s office as needed.

Media Information

Media are invited to cover the press conference on October 13 at 2:30 p.m. at the Great Lakes Science Center.  For security purposes, all media are encouraged to pre-register for the press conference by contacting Craig Clark at craig@clarkcommunication.com (616/550-2736).  Selected plenary sessions on October 14 are also open to the press.  Members of the press must register before the Summit and obtain credentials.

Summit Credentials

Summit credentials must be worn by all attendees.  All attendees must come to registration to pick up their credentials. No exceptions.

Attendees are required to have two forms of personal identification available including a current, government issued photo ID (such as a driver’s license or passport), to receive credentials.  The second form of identification must confirm the individual’s business affiliation (such as a business card or organizational ID); personal credit cards are not a valid form of identification.
