GSGP Leads Successful 100% Fish Mission to Iceland
From July 11-14, GSGP staff traveled to Iceland with leaders from the Ontario commercial fish industry to learn about Iceland’s cutting-edge fish industry and meet with leaders from Icelandic organizations that are successfully involved with 100% fish strategies:

The group included David Naftzger, John Schmidt and Gabrièle Lavallée from GSGP; John Omstead from John O’s Foods; Sal Peralta from A & A Marine & Drydock; and Dan Walda from Presteve Foods. Following the mission and completion of biotechnical testing of Lake Whitefish, Walleye, Yellow Perch and White Sucker by the Matîs research laboratory, GSGP and industry partners will be further exploring new product ideas related to fish leather, fish meal and oil, collagen and fish protein hydrolisates.
