GSGP Releases Ferry Electrification Report
Today, GSGP and Prime Focus LLC (Libby Ogard & Dr. Richard Stewart) released a new report titled “Ferry Electrification in the Great Lakes St. Lawrence Maritime Transportation System.” Globally, ferries have been early adopters of vessel electrification technologies due to their predictable, often short journeys. This report explores the criteria that make ferries good candidates for electrification here, and which regional ferries may be positioned to electrify in the near term.
